University of Sydney December 2025 Update
The University of Sydney

As the end of 2025 approaches, we sincerely thank you for your continued support over the past year. Our undergraduate international student applications are now closed, and we appreciate your efforts in facilitating student enrollment.
First Semester 2026 (Semester 1, 2026)The vast majority of postgraduate courses will continue to accept applications, with a deadline of December 18, 2025.
Please remind students to ensure they submit their applications before the deadline to be considered for the next round of admissions.
For key dates regarding the upcoming semester, please refer to our notification from last month.
Application dates for other intakes can be found at: Application and semester dates
I. Important Notices:
1. Must use the applicant's own email address (Applicants’ own email address)
We have discovered multiple instances where agents did not use the student's personal email when submitting applications, but instead entered the agency's email address.
This violates Clause 9.1(m) of the agency agreement.
❗ Please be sure to remind your team: All applications must use the student's personal email, not the agency's email.
❗ Partners, please do not create separate email accounts; if absolutely necessary, you must inform the student and provide proof! And you must disclose the password!
The system monitors applications using agency emails, and discovery may lead to compliance penalties.
2. Avoidable visa refusals – Health checks and DHA document requests
Recently, many refusal cases have occurred because students did not complete required medical examinations or failed to respond to DHA document requests within the specified timeframe. These refusals could have been entirely avoided.
If the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) requires a student to undergo a medical exam, provide biometrics, or submit additional documents, the student must complete these within the designated period.
If a student cannot meet the deadline, they should immediately contact DHA using the contact information provided in the notification to explain the reason.
If students ignore these requirements, it may lead to refusal and affect their future visa applications. Please clearly communicate this to your clients.
II. Postgraduate Updates
1. Reminder: Students with unconditional offers for 2026 S1 SAP/OSAP must submit final transcripts promptly
Students who have received unconditional offers for 2026 S1 through SAP/OSAP, please submit final academic documents as soon as grades are released so we can complete their special admission process.
If a student fails courses in their final semester and no longer meets the admission requirements, please contact the admissions team immediately.
Early notification helps us assist students with deferring enrollment or handling visa-related matters.
Proactive communication ensures we can provide timely advice to students and minimize impact on their study plans.
